About Sam
Sam Sadowsky is a guitarist and vocalist whose sound is rooted in the groove-heavy, feel-good world of 1970s American music. His solo work draws from classic soul, R&B, New Orleans rhythms, blues, country, and rock ’n’ roll, the music that shaped him, challenged him, and continues to inspire his playing today.
A musician for over 30 years, Sam has performed in numerous bands across New England, including Bostons famous Hatch Shell, bringing his warm tone, rhythmic precision, and unmistakable feel to a wide range of stages and studios. Most recently, he spent several years playing with Sky View, where he helped shape a sound built on vintage soul, swampy New Orleans groove, and rock ’n’ roll energy.
As a solo artist, Sam carries that spirit forward while refining it into something distinctly his own. His guitar work blends steady, soulful rhythm with expressive melodic phrasing. His influences stretch from the brass-infused swagger of classic jazz to the raw honesty of 70s blues and rock. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgic and new — warm, human, and always rooted in groove.
If you love the warm tones of vintage vinyl, the joy of a New Orleans second line, or the soulful ease of a 70s groove, you’ll find something familiar and fresh in Sam’s sound.
